Join us on 7 July for the session Building new systems: from regenerative economies to climate justice and circular living — an open conversation with contributors to the 'We are not waiting' anthology, to explore three of the six themes
Access a comprehensive guide to the 'We are not waiting' project, curated from the questions arising and the advice given during the ‘We are not waiting’ webinar, held on 18 June 2026.
The project — We are not Waiting by The 50 Percent and UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition — is built around six themes that reflect what young people are already doing to change the world. If you are between 14 and 35 and your work touches any of them, we want to hear from you. Each theme is a question. Each question points to work already happening.
We are not waiting is a joint initiative by the UNESCO–MOST BRIDGES UK Hub and The 50 Percent at the Club of Rome, with two linked outputs: a youth-led webinar series and an accompanying anthology.
Published in May 2025 by the United Nations Youth Office, the St. Gallen Symposium, and The Club of Rome, this report makes a compelling case for a fundamental shift in how power and wisdom are distributed within organisations. It argues that involving younger generations meaningfully in decision-making across all levels of an organisation creates forward-thinking institutions that are more responsive to the complex challenges facing the world today, while also ensuring long-term sustainability.
