Spotlight on the institutions our global hubs are rooted in: The Club of Rome Impact Hub

The UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Impact Hub at the Club of Rome explores how the role of research can be reframed to better align with society and nature. The Club of Rome is currently the only non-academic hub of the coalition and looks to investigate how transdisciplinary models of thinking and community-driven research can be incorporated into the academic research paradigm.

The Southern African Hub of the UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition is anchored at the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship on the main campus of the University of Pretoria. The Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship is a transdisciplinary research entity, founded with the intention to host projects that emphasize multi- and trans-disciplinary inquiry on topics of social, economic and environmental importance.

BRIDGES is a prioritised programme within UNESCO’s Management of Social Transformations section, championing community-anchored and humanities-driven sustainability science, fostering a fully transdisciplinary approach to sustainable development research.
