Minor Epic: Reflections on Displacement, World-Making, and the Possibility of a Different Anthropoetry

Anthropologists who have turned to poetry have often claimed to do so as a means of accessing emotional registers of which conventional academic prose is unable to avail. In other words, poetry is tacitly conflated with lyric poetry, today probably the most widely practiced poetic genre, and one associated in particular with the expression of inner feelings and subjectival states.

Non-Violence - the Cornerstone of Human Revolution, a panel discussion

Following on from Dr Luci Attala’s contribution to the event ‘It’s time for a human revolution’ in October this year, co-hosted by Soka Gakkai, SGI-UK and the Centre for Applied Buddhism, the Club of Rome and 50 Percent, Dr Attala will be attending the opening of the Seeds of Hope and Action exhibition on the 17 SDG’s at the Halliwell Centre, UWTSD in Carmarthen on Wednesday 27th November at 2pm, organised by members of SGI-UK in Wales.
