The final day of The Club of Rome’s International Conference in China, ‘Earth-Humanity Reconciliation’ saw inspiring discussions continuing.
BRIDGES Executive Director participated in session 7 of the conference: Quantum, Al, biotechnology: Are they built for ecological civilisations? A key discussion on the role of cutting-edge technologies in achieving global sustainability and well-being within planetary boundaries, exploring how to harness these powerful tools to advance life, rather than just efficiency and traditional economic growth. Panellists: Bianca Pitt - Moderator; LV Peng - Keynote Speaker; Yuhan Zheng - Keynote Speaker; Steven Hartman; Daniel Erasmus; Joanna Nurse; Georgois Theodoropoulos.

The Closing Plenary, ‘International cooperation in pluralistic societies’ followed, discussing the need for a new era of international relations with insights from different continents focussing on how we can create real momentum for transformations across sectors and countries.
The "Earth-Humanity Reconciliation: The Club of Rome International Conference in China," ran from November 5-7, 2025. The focus was pathways toward ecological civilisations, a concept deeply rooted in the Club of Rome's work.
