Planetary Peace for Human Security: Responses to Existential Risks in the Anthropocene: Publication by The Club of Rome.

The Club of Rome’s recent publication, Planetary Peace for Human Security, calls for a redefinition of peace, expanding it beyond the absence of war to planetary peace.

Ongoing armed conflicts, climate disruption, inequality and accelerating AI risks show that today’s outdated peace frameworks cannot meet today's complex challenges. The Club of Rome’s recent publication, Planetary Peace for Human Security calls for a redefinition of peace as more than the absence of war. It puts forward a regenerative approach, a vision of planetary peace grounded in justice, sustainability and global cooperation. Based on equity and collective wellbeing for true security so people, communities and our Earth can thrive.

Addressing the structural causes of instability, the authors outline pathways to true security for people and planet through inclusive governance, regenerative economies, intergenerational dialogue and the integration of diverse knowledge systems.
