Call for Papers: "Rural Frontiers; Shifting paradigms of intensification, abandonment and restoration"

Call for Papers: Deadline 9 March 2026

MESH Doctoral Researcher Louisa Crysmann is convening a panel with Prof. Dr. Marianne E. Lien and Magnus O. N. Ravnå at the EASST conference in Krakow September 8-11, titled "Rural Frontiers; Shifting paradigms of intensification, abandonment and restoration" and is looking for contributions.

The panel aims to bring together scholars with an interest in land use transformations in (post)-agricultural landscapes. Mobilizing the notion of ‘epistemic frontiers’, it investigates how agricultural imaginaries shape and undo relational entanglements, through shifting land use, past and present.

Call for papers is open until 9th March!
