On June 12th, 2026, postgraduate researchers from Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) gathered for Project REPAIR’s first-ever Biophilic Living Postgraduate Networking Event.

The gathering brought together researchers specialising in biophilic living and nature-based solutions, alongside peers interested in the broader dynamics between people, nature, and community spaces.

True to Project REPAIR's transdisciplinary mission, attendees represented a vibrant mix of academic backgrounds.

Event Highlights:

  • Project Insights: Attendees received an overview of Project REPAIR's current initiatives, including biodiversity studies, the real-world performance of biophilic developments, community outreach, and creative visions for ecological futures.
  • Peer Spotlight: Human Geography PhD researcher Tatiana Bodnar shared key findings and perspectives from her ongoing research.
  • Future Foundations: Participants engaged in lively discussions about shaping the future of a dedicated Biophilic Living Postgraduate Network, emphasising the power of transdisciplinary collaboration and the value of bringing together different perspectives and creating opportunities for collaboration across disciplines.

Moving forward, Project REPAIR is excited to channel this momentum into supporting a thriving, interconnected community of postgraduate researchers dedicated to sustainability and nature-based solutions.
