Fourth Global Call for Initiatives under the IDSSD (2024–2033)

On behalf of UNESCO Science Decade Secretariat, we are pleased to share the announcement of the launch of the Fourth Global Call for Initiatives under the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033).

We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this Call with your networks, partners and relevant scientific communities, to help reach potential applicants around the world.

Building on three successful calls, which have already endorsed 284 initiatives involving individuals and institutions from 124 countries, the Fourth Call invites the global scientific community and partners from all fields to turn scientific knowledge into solutions that can make a real difference.

Of particular interest are initiatives that produce, translate or apply actionable scientific knowledge to address key challenges, including:

• Science, technology and innovation for clean, circular and resource-efficient production
• Science for safe, inclusive, resilient settlements and infrastructure
• Integrated science for food and water security, healthy ecosystems and resilient livelihoods
• From scientific evidence to policy and practice: Operational tools for implementation
