UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES is built on a series of principles that advocate for a paradigm shift in the Euro-US-centric landscape of research and pedagogy. This broad ambition is anchored in realisations that, despite best intentions, sustainability science and the confidence in technological innovation are falling short of meaningfully addressing the UN SDGs. BRIDGES maintains that the implementation of humanities-driven transdisciplinary sustainability science offers a helpful alternative that is able to generate the innovative thinking required to address today’s polycrises in meaningful ways.
