Focused on Planetary Wellbeing, the Cologne BRIDGES Thematic Hub addresses the interconnections amongst human health and wellbeing, climate change mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity conservation and ecological regeneration. Bringing the insights and understandings of the environmental humanities to the One Health concept, the Hub approaches wellbeing from a perspective that prioritises multispecies conviviality and ecological flourishing in a shared Planet Earth for present and future generations. New Panel Talk by Dr. Nsah Mala
On 19 November, during the #DFF2024, Dr. Nsah Mala spoke in a panel that focused on how to do foresight and futures work beyond national boundaries, especially at local and multilateral levels. He drew on his work on the Congo Basin, including royal animals, future generations in Cameroon, as well as his multidisciplinary background and Mbessa indigenous knowledge. The session was moderated by Dr. Aaron Maniam (Oxford University) and included Zainab Kakal (UNDP Pacific) as well as Antonio Mazzeo (President of the Regional Council for Tuscany in Italy).
