BRIDGES Coalition Joins High-Level Dialogue on Global Turbulence at Global Baku Forum

The UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition recently participated in the Global Baku Forum, marking the second consecutive year of engagement with the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC). The forum provided a critical platform for the BRIDGES leadership to engage in high-level diplomacy and strategic visioning for global stability.

Addressing Global Turbulence

A central feature of the week was a full-day event co-organised by the NGIC and the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) entitled "Addressing Global Turbulence” The session brought together WAAS thought and action leaders to engage in direct dialogue with more than 30 high-level political leaders and diplomats.

The discussions focused on analysing the root causes of contemporary global challenges; developing vision-based solutions for the most consequential crises facing the international community; and fostering sustainable and peaceful planetary futures through collaborative leadership.

Building on a Foundation of Partnership

This year’s event continued a vital examination of global issues initiated during the previous year’s forum. The recording of this event can be watched here. That dialogue established a collaborative framework involving several key international partners.

The Executive Director of the BRIDGES Coalition, who also serves as a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, represented the coalition throughout the proceedings, contributing to a specific roundtable session on Sunday 15th March, titled Human Security Turbulence. Commenting on the significance of this gathering, the Executive Director said, “The seeds of our best possible futures are sown in vital dialogues such as the ones that took place... at the center of the NGIC-WAAS event and in the fuller context of the Global Baku Forum."

Through these ongoing partnerships, the BRIDGES Coalition continues to strengthen its commitment to transdisciplinary solutions and high-level international cooperation in the face of global uncertainty. The Executive Director commented, “I appreciate enormously the opportunity to vision sustainable and peaceful planetary futures together with all these committed and inspiring leaders."
