Webinar: Resilient Cultural Heritage and Climate Change

24th June. 10am to 11.30am. Online. Registration Required.

During London Climate Action Week 2026, join this online webinar for a compelling conversation regarding the protection and long-term sustainability of cultural heritage amidst the escalating climate crisis, whilst presenting practical, actionable solutions.

Although cultural heritage faces mounting threats from climate-related catastrophes, it simultaneously serves as a crucial asset for strengthening global climate resilience. Despite this, such assets remain significantly undervalued within the frameworks of climate investment, policy-making, and adaptation strategies.

This webinar unites various UK-based organisations to investigate the ways in which cultural heritage can act as a catalyst for transformative climate action, whether at a local, national, or international scale.

UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES is pleased to be represented at this event by Louise Steel from the UK Hub at UWTSD. She will be discussing the cultural heritage research being conducted for the Coastal TALES project, which received an AHRC Research Award.

By examining policy perspectives, concrete case studies, and progressive research collaborations, the event will showcase how global communities are successfully navigating environmental hurdles.

Join the webinar to explore inventive and durable methods for protecting cultural traditions, maintaining historic sites, and bolstering community identity in an era of climatic change.
