"Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research: Building Bridges Between Science, Practice and Society"

Join this lecture on May 18, 2026 at the University of Cologne's Sustainability Lunch Talk Series featuring MESH co-directors Roman Bartosch and Franz Krause and MESH doctoral researcher Tanya Gautam.

Speaking to the theme "Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research: Building Bridges Between Science, Practice and Society", Roman Bartosch and Tanya Gautam explore music and literature as pathways to socio-ecological transformation through EcoLit's transdisciplinary collaborations with cultural institutions, collectives and independent practitioners. Franz Krause will discuss “Co-creating knowledge: Environmental anthropology research on climate change with Indigenous partners” based on his experience of working with Inuvialuit and Dinjii Zhuh in the Canadian Arctic.
